About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Key Accounts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the National Channel Manager and take primary responsibility for managing and growing relationships within the retail channel group. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven experience in FMCG sales, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to deliver against sales and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key accounts within the retail channel group.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional buyers, distribution center stakeholders, and other role players.
- Drive sales performance to meet company objectives, sales volumes, and pricing targets across the full product basket.
- Collaborate with regional teams, sales staff, and sales agents to ensure effective distribution, merchandising, and execution in-store.
- Contribute to sales forecasting, waste management, and supply chain processes to ensure on-time delivery.
- Compile and present weekly and monthly sales reports with analysis and insights.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
Minimum of 5 years retail FMCG sales experience, engaging at senior level with national and regional buyers.
Proven track record in managing key accounts and achieving sales growth.
In-depth understanding of retail channel operations and business principles.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently, with high levels of self-discipline and accountability.
Willingness to travel nationally as required.
