Job Title: Asset Optimisation Manager – Mining – Gauteng

Location: Gauteng, South Africa

Hire Resolve`s leading client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Optimisation Manager to join their team in the mining industry in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising the performance and efficiency of our mining assets to ensure optimal productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement strategies to optimise the performance of mining assets, including equipment, machinery, and infrastructure
– Analyse data and conduct thorough assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices
– Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to track progress and performance of assets
– Develop and maintain asset management plans and schedules to ensure optimal use of resources and minimise downtime
– Conduct regular inspections and audits of assets to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations
– Manage budgeting and forecasting for asset optimisation initiatives, and track expenses to achieve cost savings targets
– Lead and mentor a team of asset management professionals to achieve department objectives and meet performance goals

Requirements:

– Degree or Diploma in Engineering/Mining, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
– Certified Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent
– Minimum of 8 years mining experience in a large, mechanised mine
– At least 5 years experience in a managerial position with appropriate business improvement experience
– Minimum 5 years experience using analysis to drive improvements through the application of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools and concepts
