About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Business Development Partner to join our team in Johannesburg, where you will be responsible for meeting sales targets and driving business growth. As a key member of our sales team, you will provide feedback to management regarding progress, issues, concerns, and opportunities, while assisting with implementing initiatives and tracking progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet sales targets as set out by the objectives in the business
  • Provide feedback to management regarding progress, issues, concerns, and opportunities
  • Assist management with implementing initiatives and tracking progress
  • Provide input to management regarding pricing models
  • Share recommendations with management to evolve service offerings
  • Provide key insights to support the business review process
  • Identify new business sales leads and seek opportunities to upsell where necessary
  • Gain a deep understanding of the potential client’s business and how the company can add value to their business
  • Contact potential customers and close deals to meet sales targets
  • Negotiate rates ensuring alignment with the company’s pricing strategy and industry standards
  • Complete and submit administrative tasks and documentation in accordance with agreed timelines and quality standards
  • Engage with and support new clients as they are onboarded
  • Maintain and update the CRM system as required

Requirements

  • 1 year sales experience (Essential)
  • Grade 12 (Essential)
  • Diploma in sales, marketing, business or relevant field (Advantageous)
  • Customer Management or Sales certification/qualification (Advantageous)
  • Proficient in MS Office suite with strong skills in PowerPoint & Excel (Essential)
