About the Role
Dante Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Chief Health & Safety Officer to join our mining team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment in our open cast mining operations, utilizing their extensive knowledge of Mine Health and Safety legislation and experience in managing health and safety teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees on safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and near misses
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) SAMTRAC / COMSOC / NEBOSH certification (essential)
- SACPCMP registration (or eligible/registrable)
- Minimum 5 years mining health & safety experience, with open cast mining essential
- In-depth knowledge of Mine Health and Safety legislation
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) diploma or equivalent
- SAMTRAC / COMSOC / NEBOSH certification
- SACPCMP registration
