Rosebank, Johannesburg: CLAIMS ADMINISTRATOR (Liability Insurance)

Job Purpose: Manage claims as allocated, including claim registration, appointment of attorneys, payments, approvals and claim rejections in accordance with procedures/requirements as outlined.
Minimum Requirements:
-Presentable and professional individual
-Excellent business English proficiency
-Matric / Grade 12
-RE5 Representative or Law Degree preferred, or working towards completion
-Strong recent insurance claims experience a must, specifically in Liability Insurance (short-term) (Medical Malpractice and Professional Indemnity) a must (NON NEGOTIABLE KEY REQUIREMENT)
-Clear understanding of claims processes and procedures a must
-Good business writing skills
-Must be risk conscious and diligent, professional, well-spoken and a good listener
-Strong negotiator, with good persuasion and problem-solving skills
-Ability to adapt to change and to work under pressure, within given timelines.
-Analytical, and attentive to detail crucial
-Organised, demonstrate good time management skills and able to prioritise accordingly
-Team player and a creator of trust, and an individual with a “can-do” attitude
-Positive, focused, assertive and a disciplined individual;
-Stable employment record and contactable references
-To start December 2024
-6 months temporary position with possibility of becoming permanent
Duties:
-Manage liability insurance claims administration
-Claims registration, appointments of attorneys and service providers, payments processing, approvals and rejections including all own claims administration
-Update of claims status on a continuous basis on Nimbis system
-Managing claims in an effective manner to finality
-Monthly Diary management
-Perform all duties in a diligent and accurate manner
Salary: R 25 000.00 – R 30 000.00 gross maximum (depending on relevant experience)
