Johannesburg: Code 08 Driver

Job Title: Code 08 Driver Duties and Responsibilities: Perform daily pick-ups and deliveries of parcels following schedules and routes. Handle parcels with care and deliver in good condition. Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain required signatures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues. Keep vehicle clean and in good working order. Navigate efficiently using GPS or route maps. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety, and company protocols. Represent the company professionally in client interactions. Report any delays, incidents, or vehicle issues promptly. Minimum Requirements: Valid Code 08 Driver’s License 1-2 years driving experience Clean driving record Able to read and complete delivery documentation accurately Physically fit to lift and carry parcels (up to 25kg) Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification (advantageous) Good knowledge of local routes and road conditions Strong time management and communication skills
