Employer Description This is an electrical engineering company that specializes in renewable energy Job Description Your responsibilities include the following: Identifying, implementing, on-site generation for a given project/s and for ensuring that this is done cost-effectively, safely, in accordance with applicable regulations and specifications and in accordance with all aspects of the Service Level Agreement. Design, development, and optimization of renewable energy systems, including but not limited to solar PV. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy yield analyses to determine the best solutions for renewable energy projects. Develop detailed project plans, including system layouts, equipment specifications, and financial models. Identify and troubleshoot design issues through hands-on testing, simulations, and data analysis, providing innovative solutions. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards throughout the project lifecycle. Drive process improvements by integrating new technologies and methodologies into the design and implementation phases. Trouble shooting issues with systems. Turnkey Project Management and Implementation. Onsite Solar Distribution Small scale embedded generation, and/or Renewable Financials including ROI IRR, Cashflow, Lifecycle Costs, Maintenance Qualifications Degree in Electrical Engineering ECSA Professional Engineer/candidate. Completed CEM or CEA course (Desirable) PV Green Card (Desirable) Skills Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy engineering, with at least 2 years focused on specific technologies (e.g., solar, wind). Strong portfolio of successful renewable energy projects, showcasing technical expertise and innovation. Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst) and energy modelling tools. Deep understanding of energy systems, grid integration, and sustainable design principles. Understanding of full turnkey project requirements for projects from design to sign off and registration.
