Job Summary
A consultancy specialising in AI and applications, with a primary focus on helping enterprise clients to extract business value by implementing AI solutions and maximise a desired return on investment are in the market for a Data Science Programme Lead to Create and manage stored procs, functions, views and triggers for efficient data processing and generate financial data required for revenue services and financial authority.
Responsibilities:
Proven experience in managing and coordinating projects. Assist the Data Science Lead in coordinating the activities of the data science team, ensuring that projects are on track and deadlines are met. Oversee the allocation and progress of tasks within the team, ensuring that each team member is effectively contributing to project goals. Provide administrative and logistical support for ongoing projects, including meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up on action items. Facilitate clear and effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project status, team performance, and any potential risks or issues that may arise. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of project execution within the Data Science Lab. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. 10 years of experience in a similar role within a data science, analytics, or technology-focused environment. Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry is a plus. A solid understanding of data analytics and familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, or R is beneficial Experience and keen interest in ML, LLMs and GenAi The Reference Number for this position is NG59766 which is a Contract position based in Johannesburg offering a salary of R600 to R800 per hour
