Hire Resolve’s client in seeking a talented and driven Team Lead Data Scientist to lead their data team and help them deliver innovative solutions using AI, data science and machine learning. As a Team Lead Data Science, you will be responsible for managing the team, overseeing the projects, ensuring high–quality standards, and collaborating with other teams and stakeholders. You will also be directly involved in developing and deploying AI solutions, the latter being a highly desirable skill for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Management and Leadership:
– Lead a team of data scientists and ensure they have the necessary resources, guidance, and support to succeed.
– Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities.
– Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

2. Project Execution and Delivery:
– Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
– Define project goals, requirements, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders and project managers.
– Apply advanced data science techniques (e.g., statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling) to solve complex business problems and identify opportunities for improvement.

3. Technical Expertise and Strategy:
– Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics techniques to continuously enhance team’s capabilities.
– Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, assisting them in solving complex technical challenges.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute the company’s data strategy, aligning it with organizational goals and client requirements.
– Drive the adoption of best practices and innovative approaches within the team.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
– Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their business challenges and requirements.
– Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating complex analyses and insights in a concise and easily understandable manner.
– Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities and support proposal development.

Requirements:

– BSc (Comp Sci) (completed) or BEng (completed) or higher qualification of relevance.
– Other STEM degrees from established Universities (Computers, Math, Stats, IT or BCom–IT)
might be considered given relevant minimum experience.
– Additional leadership development an advantage
– Minimum 4+ years hands-on experience
– Proficiency in MS Office 
– Python (essential), Java or C# (optional)
– AIOAps, Generative models such as LLMs (highly desirable)
– MS Azure
– Unit and integration testing frameworks, Model performance monitoring and logging tool
– Statistical techniques and hypothesis testing, University level mathematics
– Ability to work in a team and individually 
– Continuous self-learning and self-improvement
