Driver Assessment Evaluate recruitment applicants` motor vehicle driving skills according to recruitment requirements. Assess employees requiring motor vehicle driving tests before authorization to drive company vehicles. Assess multiple company drivers where tendencies indicate undesirable driver behaviour that leads to vehicle related issues (e.g. MVAs, damages, complaints, etc.). Evaluate employees aspiring to obtain a motor vehicle driving license. Driving Instruction Provide one-on-one practical driving lessons for students (employees) in internal development programs as determined by CAP. Utilize classroom and practical instructions to teach driving skills to individuals and groups. Conduct refresher and specialized driving lessons, including cost-reduction driving styles. Ensure students are proficient in the skills necessary to pass the driving test. Identify and address factors preventing students from mastering specific skills. Deliver classroom-based driver training during monthly cyclical sessions on company vehicle policies, procedures, compliance, and relevant national and provincial laws and regulations. Recommend driver training initiatives to improve proficiency and reduce liability for CAP vehicle drivers. Inspections & Investigations Inspect CAP vehicles for serviceability and roadworthiness. Assist in investigating motor vehicle accidents (MVAs). Serve on internal MVA tribunals. Schedule MVA tribunals in accordance with Tactical Command directives. Recordkeeping Maintain accurate records of: All assessments as per CAP policies and operating instructions. Student enrolments, progress, achievements, and assessments. Attendance records reflecting subjects covered. Lesson plans presented. Data on all MVAs, providing monthly feedback on MVAs, driver trends posing liability risks for CAP, and recommending solutions to prevent recurrence. Reports on tribunals, STARCARD compliance, and fleet aging.
