About the Role
The Duty Manager – Banqueting role at BGA Recruitment is a key position responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of banqueting events and functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the team, maintaining high standards of service, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure professional presentation of function rooms
- Ensure that functions proceed satisfactorily – efficient service, professionalism and speed
- Ensure highest level of service – excellence in all operating procedures, approaches and service level requirements
- Ensure good general housekeeping of the function rooms
- Ensure the effective management of the team
Requirements
- Matric/Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years management experience
- Knowledge of the food, beverage and banqueting environment
- Club Experience advantageous
- Good computer skills (MS OFFICE) and other presentation packages
- Knowledge of Jonas Club Management Software
- Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary and able to multitask under pressure
- Drivers licence with own transport
