Responsibilities:

 

• Design, develop and supervise the installation of electrical systems in buildings and other structures
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction, installation and standards and specifications
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design, specifications and established standards
• Plan and conduct field surveys to locate and mark structures and equipment for installation of electrical systems
• Prepare reports and specifications for constructing, repairing or modifying electrical systems
• Supervise and train project team members as needed
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor`s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and codes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey electrical engineering outcomes with clients, stakeholders and other disciplines as required.
• Demonstrated ability and genuine enthusiasm to motivate and mentor emerging engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor`s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (NQF Level 8 Honours/Postgraduate Diploma)
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an Electrical Engineering capacity
• Profound understanding of electrical systems and components (familiarity with solar technology is advantageous)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
