About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Pretoria, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and engineering of solar power systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and driving innovation in solar technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Solar system design and Engineering: Lead the design and engineering of solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, inverters, storage systems, and electrical distribution.
- Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for solar projects.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards related to solar energy installations.
- Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to team members.
- Set departmental goals and objectives aligned with the company’s strategic vision.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
- Diploma / BSc / Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Must have experience working with Solar / Renewable Energy industry
- Must be able to travel
- Driver’s license and own car
