Were looking for an operationally sharp, hands-on Event Manager to lead bar operations at some of SAs biggest events, from stadiums and festivals to private and corporate functions. This is a full-time, on-the-ground role based in Selby, Johannesburg, with regular travel across Gauteng and occasional national travel. Job details Manage end-to-end event setup and execution mobile bars, teams, stock, and gear Lead teams of bar staff and runners on-site with confidence and efficiency Handle event prep at the warehouse and travel to venues for setup and pack-down Liaise with clients, suppliers, and venues to ensure flawless service Ensure compliance with safety, licensing, and operational standards Complete post-event reporting, stock reconciliation, and team feedback Requirements 2 years experience in events, hospitality, logistics, or bar operations Own reliable car & valid drivers license (non-negotiable) Strong leadership skills able to manage teams under pressure Comfortable working weekends, evenings, and extended travel periods Confident on MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience in stadiums or large-scale events is a big plus High levels of initiative, grit, and accountability We’re Looking for Someone Who Is: Self-motivated, trustworthy, and able to run with minimal supervision Organised but adaptable, cool head in chaotic situations Fast on their feet, great with people, and ready to lead from the front Not afraid to get hands dirty, this is not a clipboard job Perks?
