Johannesburg: EXPEDITOR

Responsible for all logistics functions within the Supply Chain including managing supplier orders and ensuring timely accurate delivery of goods. Coordination and arranging import and export shipments and compliance with industry regulations. Supplier and internal stakeholder engagement. Liaising with suppliers to expedite open orders. Approval of draft customs entries and completing clearing instructions. Key Performance Areas Key Work: Arranging shipment using correct mode of shipping, arranging airfreight and seafreight estimates Following up on backorders and updating shipment status reports and estimated times of arrivals on SAGE Liaising with freight forwarders to arrange shipments Reviewing open orders and 3-way supplier match Opening of shipments and final costing shipments including preparation of shipment pack for finance Manage SARS queries and internal stakeholder, NCGR queries and supplier escalation for inventory queries Communicating deliveries to warehouses Preparation of monthly reports and draft entries approvals, arranging advance payments Updating tariff codes and duty percentages on SAGE Overall support to procurement team and ensuring data integrity Core Competencies Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Ability to apply freight and logistics skills, with strong customs knowledge, bond and rebate stores. End to end knowledge of the Supply Chain Excellent communication skills and computer skills Additional Job Related Requirements: Support Continuous improvement within the operations environment, Development and maintenance of processes and procedures to grow the procurement division. Ability to work afterhours in line with Global supplier time zones as required Suggested Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: Post matric and CIPS Qualification (Or working towards a CIPS or Supply chain qualification). 5 Years experience in freight and logistics in a Manufacturing and/or Automotive environment Netstock Sage X3 Microsoft office 365 experience is essential.
