About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing features within a microservices-based architecture, designing secure integrations with third-party and enterprise APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance features within a microservices-based architecture
- Design, build, and maintain secure integrations with third-party and enterprise APIs
- Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support containerised deployments using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Participate in peer code reviews and uphold development standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in full stack software development
- Strong hands-on experience with PHP 8.x and Laravel
- Solid database knowledge (PostgreSQL or MySQL), including schema design and optimisation
- Experience with Vue.js or React
- Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs
- Comfortable working with Git (branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews)
- Familiarity with Pest or PHPUnit and a strong testing mindset
