About the Role
Our client operates within a fast-paced, product-driven environment supplying tailored solutions to a broad customer base across South Africa. With a strong operational footprint and a focus on continuous improvement, the business requires a finance leader who can integrate financial discipline with day-to-day operations. This role extends beyond traditional finance, requiring a strategic thinker who can partner closely with leadership and operational teams to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the full financial function, including accounting, reporting, and compliance
- Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts and performance insights
- Managing all statutory obligations including SARS submissions and tax calculations
- Taking ownership of working capital cycles, including receivables, payables, and cash flow forecasting
- Driving payroll oversight and ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Implementing and improving internal controls, systems, and financial processes
- Partnering with operations to optimise stock management, dispatch, and overall efficiency
- Supporting the transition of outsourced functions into a fully internalised structure
- Providing commercial insight to support strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Completed BCom degree (essential)
- Minimum 6 years experience in a commercial environment, ideally within manufacturing, production, or a similar operational setting
- Proven ability to operate across both finance and operations, with a strong understanding of how the two intersect
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end finance functions, including reporting, tax, and compliance
- Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting systems
