About the Role

Were looking for an experienced Industrial Relations (IR) Manager to join our clients growing business within the facilities and security services industry. This role is ideal for a strong IR professional who thrives in a high-pressure environment, has deep knowledge of labour legislation, and can confidently manage complex employee relations across multiple sites.

What Youll Be Doing

• Manage and oversee all disciplinary hearings, grievances, disputes, and CCMA cases
• Serve as the primary liaison between management, employees, unions, and bargaining councils
• Provide expert advice to management on IR matters, ensuring compliance with LRA, BCEA, OHSA, and other labour laws
• Lead wage negotiations, strike prevention, and conflict resolution strategies
• Develop and implement IR policies, procedures, and training programs across sites
• Maintain accurate case files, reports, and ensure timeous reporting to senior management
• Conduct workshops to upskill managers on IR best practice and disciplinary processes
• Support client relations by ensuring stable labour relations and uninterrupted service delivery

What Youll Need

• 5+ years proven Industrial Relations experience (ideally at Manager or Senior HR Generalist level within services, security, or facilities industries)
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, CCMA processes, and bargaining council practices
• Relevant HR/IR qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred)
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving ability
• Valid drivers license and own vehicle (travel between sites required)
• Clear criminal record
• Ability to work independently while influencing and supporting multiple stakeholders
