About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our technology operations in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of all IT services, including networks, servers, endpoints, applications, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the high availability, performance, and reliability of all IT services
  • Manage on-premise, hybrid, and/or cloud infrastructure – Microsoft Azure, M365, and AWS
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls to protect systems, data, and users
  • Translate the business strategy into a local IT roadmap aligned with group or regional directives
  • Lead IT projects, including upgrades, migration, and new system implementation
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and system integrators
  • Control IT budgets, forecast expenditure, and track ROI technology investments
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the local IT team (support and infrastructure applications)

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related
  • 7-10 years’ experience in IT
  • 3-5 years in IT management or a lead role
  • Strong experience in infrastructure, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and user support
  • ITIL Foundation certificate
  • Microsoft (Azure / M365), AWS, or equivalent certificates
  • Cybersecurity, governance, or project management certificates

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related
