A dynamic and innovative company, specializing in providing innovative the financial services and insurance solutions, is looking for you Role and Responsibilities: As their IT Manager, you will oversee the management, development, and evolution of their bespoke software systems, ensuring they align with strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to the business. You will lead a talented team of 8 professionals, including Tech Support, Analysts, Business Analysts, Integration Specialists, and Developers, to drive innovation and operational excellence. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by managing their current systems and leading the transition to future technologies. Your role will involve the following: Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of their systems, ensuring they meet business needs and industry standards. Drive the transition and modernization of legacy systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and user experience. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define and deliver technology solutions that support strategic objectives. Ensure the robust integration of systems using REST APIs and other technologies. Maintain a strong focus on data management, leveraging your expertise in SQL to optimize database performance and integrity. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance their technology stack. Requirements: Masters Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (PMP, ITIL, TOGAF would be advantageous). Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, REST API, and advanced SQL skills. Experience with VB.NET is highly desirable. Proven experience (5 years) in a senior leadership role within software development, ideally in the financial services or insurance industry. A strong track record of delivering complex transformation projects, such as ERP migrations or implementations (preferably with D365). Demonstrable experience in software application management, particularly in overseeing major system transitions within financial services or insurance. Job Summary

Job Purpose: Information Technology management functions of the Organisation. Education (Formal Qualification Required) Minimum – Relevant IT Qualification – NQF 7 or NQF 6 Experience (Minimum Experience Required) – 5 Years experience in a similar role. Position Description: Internal Software Management (Our clients Members and Accounting System) – Software Oversight: Manage the companys internal software used for member and account management, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with organizational needs. – Sage Knowledge: Understand Sage processes, addressing issues and coordinating with Sage support or technical teams as needed. – Azure Portal Familiarity: Monitor and manage any components hosted in Azure, ensuring efficient cloud resource use, and coordinate deployments or updates in the Azure environment. IT Strategy and Operations Management – Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the companys goals, considering both on-premises and cloud environments. – Budgeting and Cost Management: Oversee budgeting, including cost management for Azure resources and other IT initiatives. – Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with internal and third party software components. Service Provider Management – Vendor Coordination: Work closely with service providers, manage SLAs, and ensure accountability. – Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs to monitor and improve vendor services and maintain a high level of service quality. IT Process Development and Implementation – Policy and Procedure Development: Define standard operating procedures for managing the internal software, Sage integration, and cloud-based processes. – Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within the software and cloud environments. Software Licensing Management – License Compliance: Maintain up-to-date records for internal software, Sage, and Azure, ensuring all licenses and subscriptions are current and compliant. – Renewal and Procurement: Manage license renewal cycles and evaluate cost-effective licensing options. Software Development Understanding (Non-Hands-On – Project Oversight: Coordinate with developers and stakeholders for projects involving the internal software, Sage integration, and Azure components. – Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison, ensuring the companys operational requirements are translated into actionable IT deliverables.
