Johannesburg: Mechanical Design Draughtsman – Germiston Area

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Ability to understand and produce technical drawings. Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD drawing packages. A proven track record in a similar environment. Ability to manage and schedule drawing projects to meet delivery dates. Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Mechanical Design Draughtsman using Inventor. National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Advantegeous) Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards. Exposure to a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform simple mechanical calculations. Computer literacy in MS Office packages. Experience with ERP/BOM systems would be an advantage KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Design and draught General Arrangement and shop detail drawings to specification. Engage with sales on customer requirements. Liaise with production and sales teams. Modify and revise designs to resolve and minimize production issues. Generate and verify BOMs for drawings produced. Provide general drawing office assistance.
