Johannesburg: Mobile Hydraulics Application Engineer

Are you a technically driven engineer with a passion for mobile hydraulics and system design? Were searching for a Mobile Hydraulics Application Engineer to support and grow hydraulic solutions across the mobile machinery and equipment industry from construction and agriculture to mining and transport. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys being close to the application, working directly with clients to design, size, and optimise hydraulic systems for real-world performance. Non-Negotiable Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 35 years experience in mobile hydraulic systems , ideally within the OEM or equipment manufacturing environment Proven experience with system design, component selection, and circuit development Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, filters, accumulators, and sensors used in mobile hydraulic applications Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or hydraulic circuit design software Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally for client and site visits Job Experience & Skills Required: Design, develop, and optimise hydraulic circuits for mobile applications Support sales teams with technical expertise and product application support Conduct on-site evaluations, troubleshooting, and commissioning assistance Prepare detailed proposals, schematics, and bill of materials for client projects Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to develop tailored solutions Maintain close relationships with key OEMs, distributors, and end users Keep up to date with market trends, emerging technologies, and product innovations For more engineering jobs, please visit:
