Job Summary

Contract Support & Review: Supply the legal team with essential commercial details needed to draft, review, and revise agreements, ensuring they meet legal and company standards. Ensure that all contract terms are clear, enforceable, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and policies. Negotiation : Lead contract negotiations with external parties to secure favorable terms and conditions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure these are accurately reflected in the contract terms. Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. Identify potential risks within contract terms and propose amendments to mitigate those risks. Monitor contract performance to ensure all parties fulfill their contractual obligations. Contract Administration : Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from handover to closure, ensuring all obligations are met. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents. Track contract expiration dates and manage renewals or terminations as needed. Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate closely with rental, aftermarket, legal, finance, procurement, and other departments to ensure contract terms are aligned with business needs. Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contract policies and procedures. Reporting and Analysis : Prepare regular reports on contract status, compliance, and performance metrics. Conduct periodic audits of contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Customer Management : Support sales teams by tracking commercial contracts through relevant timelines, amendments, and approval stages. Engage with customers monthly to ensure all aspects of commercial contracts are being met. Ensure annual increase letters and/or rate cards are approved and signed by the company and customer. Maintain and grow relationships with existing and new customers to ensure the company’s equipment market share increases. Governance : Collaborate with the legal team to ensure contracts and any relevant amendments comply with legal requirements and data protection laws (such as POPIA). Capture and ensure the safekeeping of all contractual documentation and binding correspondence. Maintain relationships with identified internal stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact for key matters related to contracts. Identify opportunities to improve business processes and collaborate on plans for continuous improvement. Maintain a matrix list of all customer Service Level Agreements and their current status. Must have responsibilities: Grade 12 / Matric , with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and environment, including exposure to business financial processes and calculations. Solid background in financial management and costing. Advanced to expert proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Bachelor’s degree in business administration , Law, or a related field. Certification as a Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) or similar qualification. 3-5 years of experience in contract management, negotiation, or a related area. Experience in the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) industry, Construction, Logistics or Minning. Familiarity with Autoline, CRM databases, and other ERP systems. Strong knowledge of contract law and relevant regulations. Excellent skills in negotiation, communication, and interpersonal relations. High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities. Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. General understanding of the telematics ecosystem, with a focus on accelerating customer success, driving business growth, and optimizing fleet operations.
