Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide support in regulatory reporting, tax calculations, and submissions.
- Collaborate with auditors (internal and external) during audit processes.
- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain strong internal controls and assist in implementing best practices across finance operations.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
- 3–5 years’ experience in a financial services environment (e.g. banking, insurance, asset management, or investment industry).
- Solid understanding of financial instruments, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards (IFRS essential).
- Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and communication skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and financial reporting systems.
