About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Specialist to join our team at Network Finance in Johannesburg North. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust enterprise risk management framework, identifying and assessing enterprise-wide risks, and providing technical guidance and support to various business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the ERM framework, policies, and procedures in line with the Insurance Act, Prudential Standards, SAM, and governance principles.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report enterprise-wide risks, and maintain the risk register, KRIs, and RCSAs.
- Support underwriting, actuarial, and finance teams in underwriting, reserving, catastrophe, and accumulation risk assessments.
- Monitor credit, market, liquidity, and ALM risks, including stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and analytics for Management, EXCO, and Board Committees, including contributions to the ORSA.
- Monitor operational, conduct, reputational, and strategic risks across the business.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to business units to embed strong risk culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in governance, internal audit, or risk management advantageous.
- 5–8 years’ experience in risk management, actuarial, internal audit, or related roles within non-life insurance or reinsurance (strong preference), or financial services with proven ERM exposure.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in governance, internal audit, or risk management advantageous.
