Our client is a well-established organisation based in Illovo, Johannesburg, with a strong focus on accurate financial management and operational excellence. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Accountant to contribute to the finance team, develop your skills, and grow within the company. Work alongside experienced financial accountants and gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions in a professional and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily cashbook entries and perform accurate bank reconciliations.
• Process supplier and customer accounts, including invoices, payments, and queries.
• Assist with the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Support month-end close, preparation of journals, and management reporting.
• Reconcile control accounts (debtors, creditors, VAT) and assist with audits.
• Monitor sales statistics and provide data for financial analysis.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance department.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

• Diploma in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Financial Management.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration experience.

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Pastel, Embrace, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Other Requirements:

• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable performing routine financial tasks consistently.
