Job Summary
My client is looking for a Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll operations of their multi-property organization.
This role requires a proactive individual to ensure accurate processing, compliance with statutory requirements, and the timely submission of reports.
This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review and verify all required documentation for new hires, ensuring timely input into the payroll system and proper record-keeping.
- Stay updated on payroll systems, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Generate and submit internal payroll reports for management review.
- Prepare and submit the Work Place Skills Plan and Actual Training Report.
- Coordinate and facilitate annual audits by supporting auditors with payroll-related information.
- Monitor the validity of work permits and visas for foreign employees to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual statutory reports, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
- Issue employee tax certificates in accordance with tax regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BCom degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years` experience in payroll management.
- Experience in a shared services environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Excel at an advanced level.
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as Simple Pay is an advantage.
- Experience with applicant tracking or employee self-service systems is beneficial.
