Employer Description Specialises in steel products manufacturing Job Description Your duties will encompass: Oversee and managing the entire supply chain process, from the procurement of raw materials to the delivery of finished products to customers. Manage daily operations on 3 Sites around Johannesburg. Ensure maximization of fleet utilisation and effectively manage all outsourced transport requirements. Ensure that receiving, storage, picking and loading is done accurately. Collaborate with Sales to ensure on-time loading and delivery to customers. Ensure all Documents for Logistics is optimally controlled at all times. Responsible for liaising crane and equipment breakdowns with the relevant maintenance department for immediate repairs. Manage and oversee Inventory control processes. Responsible and accountable for all stock and stock related processes. Manage All Returns, Restricted Stocks, Partial Bundles and Scrap continuously. Ensure efficient stock takes in accordance with company procedures. Ensure that required inventory management and Lifting equipment are used effectively and efficiently. Ensure that safe working procedures/ safe work practices are adhered to Managing the warehouse operations around the clock, planning, and monitoring the day and night shifts. Plan, organise, lead and control subordinates activities to ensure objectives are exceeded. Establish and Execute Training needs analysis requirements for responsible personnel. Identify Opportunities to continuously drive improvement for Warehouse & Logistics Assist with the implementation of Barcode Scanning (Translution / Syspro) Qualifications Matric. Skills Minimum 8 years Supply Chain Management experience. Stable track record a must. Must come from Steel industry. Knowledge of Syspro. Sound knowledge of the OHS act. Proficient in MS Office. Drivers license.
