About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Parts Picker/Packer to join our team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate picking, packing, and preparation of spare parts and components for dispatch to customers and internal service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick spare parts and components according to picking slips, SAP system orders, or dispatch instructions
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy
- Pack parts securely to prevent damage during handling and transportation
- Label and prepare consignments for dispatch or courier collection
- Assist with receiving and checking inbound stock against delivery notes
- Bin and store parts in the correct warehouse locations
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety standards in the warehouse
- Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and stock takes as required
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect stock to the Warehouse Supervisor or Parts Manager
Requirements
- Grade 1012 or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse, parts picking, or packing role (automotive, engineering, or industrial parts environment preferred)
- Basic computer literacy (SAP or similar ERP system experience advantageous)
- Ability to read and understand part numbers and picking documentation
- Physically fit and able to lift and move parts and cartons
Qualifications
- Grade 1012 certificate of completion
