About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage plant budgets, KPIs, productivity, losses, and operational performance
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams, including production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain
- Implement lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S, and cost reduction initiatives
- Drive change, foster accountability, and support sustainability and ESG initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations
- Collaborate with SAP to manage production planning, materials management, and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leadership role
- Food manufacturing industry experience is essential
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations
