Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting function, including monthly management accounts, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end and year-end processes. You will assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis, while ensuring compliance with statutory, tax, and accounting requirements. The role will also involve managing external audit processes, overseeing VAT and other tax submissions, monitoring debtor and creditor functions, maintaining fixed asset registers, and supporting treasury and cash flow activities. In addition, you will work closely with operational teams to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting capabilities across the business.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS and regulatory compliance requirements
- Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities
- Strong reconciliation, cash flow, and budgeting experience
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Experience with ERP systems advantageous
- Exposure to foreign exchange and multi-currency transactions beneficial
Qualification:
- BCom Accounting
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
