Responsibilities: Develop and implement production schedules Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency Supervise production staff and provide training as needed Ensure product quality standards are met Implement and maintain production safety protocols Overseeing daily operations within the department and implementing strategic plans. Acting as a lead on process and procedure improvements. Creating a safe work environment. Count cash at the end of the shift and manage bank deposits Train and integrate new workers Resolve Conflicts between colleagues Ensure that daily production goals or targets are met. Manage daily schedules, employee shifts, and time-off requests Assign duties to employees and oversee their progress. Assisting in budget preparation and expense management. Evaluating team performance and developing improvement plans. Requirements: Previous experience as a Supervisor or similar role. Full understanding of industry safety standards. Comprehensive knowledge of basic software, such as Word and Excel. Ability to multitask. Leadership and conflict-management skills. Matric. Production-related postgraduate qualification. Food Manufacturing experience is a must. Requirements: Matric or equivalent required; technical or food-related qualifications preferred Minimum 23 years experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferably snack production) Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role is an advantage Knowledge of food safety systems (FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP) Basic mechanical knowledge of food processing machinery (poppers, conveyors, weighers) Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production line operators, and packers Ensure production targets (volume, quality, waste, efficiency) are met consistently Monitor the operation of popped chip machinery, seasoning equipment, oil sprayers, and packing lines Perform start-up and end-of-shift checks including equipment inspections, sanitation verification, and production log updates Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and food safety systems (FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP) Taking accurate records of raw materials used during production Train and mentor team members on proper operational procedures and safe working practices Lead daily team meetings and shift handovers; communicate production plans and updates Troubleshoot and escalate process issues Keep accurate production records, downtime logs, and material usage reports Monitor product quality (e.g., texture, seasoning level, moisture, packaging integrity) and take corrective actions when needed Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork on the floor
