Job Description

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Project / Construction / Contracts Manager to join their operations team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical skill set within the sports facilities and construction industry, along with exceptional management, supervision, and planning abilities. The role demands attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and a proven track record in multi-project implementation and contractual experience with JBCC, GCC, and NEC. A background in health and safety is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of business processes.
  • Manage and supervise allocated teams to execute project scopes.
  • Lead and motivate teams to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule required deliveries and materials for projects.
  • Implement and monitor project plans to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Ensure availability and proper use of all required equipment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Control and monitor project expenses, including materials, equipment, fuel, and labour.
  • Manage and forecast project budgets, comparing allowable vs. actual expenses.
  • Control and manage all permanent and temporary staff on allocated projects.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Construction Management, or relevant onsite experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the industry.
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Knowledge of sports facilities and the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with construction machinery, including laser level and installation equipment.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to coordinate and oversee new installations or upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently under pressure and make informed decisions.
  • Willingness to travel nationally.
