Location: Gauteng, South Africa

Hire Resolve`s Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Manager to join our mining team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management within the mining industry and a proven track record of identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure the safety and success of our mining operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks within the mining operations
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and develop risk mitigation plans
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards
• Work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure risks are properly identified and managed
• Provide training and support to staff on risk management processes and procedures
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies and adjust as necessary
• Prepare reports and presentations on risk management activities for senior management

Requirements:

• Bachelor`s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field
• Proven experience in risk management within the mining industry
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certification in risk management or related field is a plus
