About the Role
A Software Solutions company in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced C# Back-End Developer to join their development team. The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain integration-focused back-end systems for a customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end applications and integration services using C# and .NET
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and third-party system integrations
- Collaborate with the customer’s technical and business teams to understand integration requirements
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing systems
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
- Use Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, and work item tracking
Requirements
- 5 years of hands-on experience with C# (.NET / .NET Core)
- Strong back-end development experience
- Proven experience building integration software
- Solid understanding of:
- REST APIs
- JSON / XML
- SQL databases (e.g. SQL Server)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers
