About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boiler and Kiln Superintendent to join our team at Profile Personnel in Stutterheim, Eastern Cape. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Boiler & Kiln department and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running the daily activities of the Boiler & Kiln operations
  • Ensure compliance of all plant, machinery and auxiliary equipment to relevant statutory health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations. As well as Company policies & procedures.
  • Control of spare part inventories, and critical spares.
  • Monitor and control costs.
  • Manage training and development of departmental employees.
  • Ensuring and improving the performance, productivity & efficiency.
  • Managing all staff in accordance with labour laws and company policies
  • Ensuring a high-level housekeeping standard in the department

Requirements

  • Matric / NTC 3
  • Relevant technical experience and ability with tools and mechanical workings, if not trade tested
  • Strong experience in the operations of Boilers
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a boiler operations environment
  • Willing to work irregular hours and perform standby duties
  • Willing to work overtime, incl. weekends
  • Experience in a sawmilling environment will be preferred
