About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client in the food industry is urgently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper. The company is looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage their financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain financial transactions and documents
- Monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Cash books for 2 companies (5 Bank Accounts)
- Authorize local payments.
- Prepare and oversee payments.
- Approve creditors reconciliations and load payments in the banking system.
- Weekly sales reporting.
- Liaise with both internal and external audit teams.
- Credit control for both site divisions
- Understanding of VAT within transactions.
- Update finance lease for both divisions.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments
- Complete bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow management
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure financial compliance
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper in the food industry
- Good knowledge and experience of Syspro and Excel.
- Solid knowledge with general ledger reconciliations.
- Experience with accounting for finance leases.
- Degree, diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
