About the Role
Takora is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for negotiating final accounts and defending Excess of Time (EOT) claims on large-scale construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate final accounts and defend EOT claims
- Develop and implement contracts administration strategies
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with South African construction law and standard forms of contract
- Provide expert advice on CCS Candy, BuildSmart, and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & Power Query)
- Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Law
- Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor, Professional Construction Manager, or Project Management Professional
- 10 years of post-qualification experience in senior commercial or contracts roles on projects > R100 m
- Demonstrated success in negotiating final accounts and defending EOT claims
