Johannesburg: Senior E,C&I Engineer

You will play a key role in project delivery from conceptual design through detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning ensuring technical excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate E,C&I design, documentation, and integration for new and existing plant projects. Develop and review technical specifications, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and control system architecture. Oversee instrumentation selection, PLC/DCS programming, and control philosophy development. Manage electrical load studies, cable sizing, earthing, and protection coordination. Supervise drafting teams and interface with mechanical, process, and civil disciplines. Conduct site inspections, FATs/SATs, and provide commissioning support. Ensure that designs meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. Mentor and support Junior Engineers and Designers. Liaise with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors Degree (BEng/BSc) in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent). 8 years experience in E,C&I design and project execution within mining, mineral processing, oil & gas, or heavy industry. Proven experience with PLC/DCS systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, and ABB). Strong knowledge of instrumentation, automation, and process control systems . Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, AS/NZS, and SANS). Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar design software . Demonstrated leadership, communication, and coordination skills. Willingness to travel to site and support field execution when required.
