About the Role
If you enjoy hands-on work in a busy store environment and want a role where your effort keeps operations moving smoothly, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Storeman. The Stores Manager at Kempton Park Electrical & Electronic Components is looking for a dedicated team member to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the consumables store clean, organised, and easy to navigate.
- Control stock levels, manage min/max quantities, and identify surplus or obsolete items.
- Receive, check, and capture delivery notes, reporting shortages or damages quickly.
- Ship consumable stock to contractors and assist in allocating goods to project locations.
- Manage stock returns, issue delivery notes, and maintain the tool register.
- Support bi-annual stock takes, operate the forklift or crane, and manage layout and space.
- Handle storage, retrieval, document control, and data entry for consumable stock.
Requirements
- 35 years of experience in stores, consumables, inventory control, switchgear components, or stock systems.
- Knowledge of MS Office, store procedures, electrical switchgear components, and stock management systems.
- Strong organisational skills, physical ability for store work, communication skills, and a steady, team-driven work style.
Qualifications
- Matric, with a Certificate in Warehousing or Inventory Control helpful.
