In this well-established engineering and electrical systems company, you will take ownership of the consumables store while building deeper experience in inventory control, electronic components, switchgear parts, and stock flow. The role is based in Kempton Park, giving you a stable workplace close to home with steady long-term prospects. You will earn R10 000 R12 000 CTC, with opportunities to grow your skills and take on more responsibility in store operations. What Youll Be Doing
- Keep the consumables store clean, organised, and easy to navigate.
- Control stock levels, manage min/max quantities, and identify surplus or obsolete items.
- Receive, check, and capture delivery notes, reporting shortages or damages quickly.
- Ship consumable stock to contractors and assist in allocating goods to project locations.
- Manage stock returns, issue delivery notes, and maintain the tool register.
- Support bi-annual stock takes, operate the forklift or crane, and manage layout and space.
- Handle storage, retrieval, document control, and data entry for consumable stock.
Experience & Qualifications
- Matric, with a Certificate in Warehousing or Inventory Control helpful.
- 35 years of experience in stores, consumables, inventory control, switchgear components, or stock systems.
- Knowledge of MS Office, store procedures, electrical switchgear components, and stock management systems.
- Strong organisational skills, physical ability for store work, communication skills, and a steady, team-driven work style.
