About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic data team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centered digital experiences across platforms. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in complex design environments, value clean, efficient, and engaging design practices, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-friendly solutions. Key Responsibilities User Experience Design Lead end-to-end UX design for web and mobile applications. Conduct user research, develop personas, map user journeys, and run usability testing. Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive user flows using modern prototyping tools. User Interface & Visual Design Design high-fidelity UI screens adhering to brand and accessibility standards. Develop scalable design systems, UI libraries, and component-based design systems. Ensure responsive and accessible designs across devices. Incorporate motion, micro-interactions, and animation to enhance user experience. Collaboration & Process Improvement Work with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define UX requirements. Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies and recommend design improvements. Advocate for user-centered design across product teams. Requirements & Qualifications Must-Have Skills: 5–8 years of UI/UX design experience. Strong portfolio of user-centered design projects demonstrating problem-solving and creativity. Expertise with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, InVision, and Miro . Experience with responsive and accessible design, inclusive design, and modern design systems. Knowledge of interactive prototyping and animation tools like Framer, Principle, or After Effects . Highly Desirable Skills: Experience designing for enterprise SaaS applications . Familiarity with HTML/CSS, and collaboration with development teams. Knowledge of design handoff tools like Zeplin or Figma’s Developer Handoff . Experience with UX analytics, A/B testing tools, and user feedback platforms (e.g., Hotjar, Lookback, FullStory). Understanding of design thinking, service design, and accessibility standards. Education Bachelor’s degree or diploma in UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field . Additional Information Contract Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of renewal) Salary: Negotiable Location Options: Johannesburg / Cape Town / Remote Eligibility: Must be located in South Africa or hold a valid SA work permit
