Job Description
Our multi-disciplined firm in the built environment is seeking a Senior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying process for various projects within the built environment sector. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a strong background in quantity surveying and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
– Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
– Conducting cost analysis and risk assessments
– Preparing tender documents and contracts
– Managing and monitoring project finances
– Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
– Providing advice on contractual matters
– Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
– Managing a team of quantity surveyors and assistants
– Utilizing software and technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
– 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying within the built environment sector
– Professional registration with relevant industry bodies
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
– Knowledge of WINQS and DIMX
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Experience in Consulting in the private sector
– Confident and Well Spoken
