Job Summary
Instructing customer personnel on proper setup, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
Conducting post-installation training and providing ongoing service and support
Creating new customers in collaboration with sales executives to meet targets
Initiating continuous improvement activities and ensuring effective communication on service and warranty issues
Traveling globally to customer sites, often at short notice and for extended periods
Managing machine breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and conducting down-time studies to improve production efficiency
Recommending repairs, part replacements, and upgrades to ensure optimal machine performance
Promoting a professional image and working closely with sales staff and engineering teams to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction
Skills & Experience:
A minimum of five years in the field of manufacturing and fabrication
The installation, hands-on maintenance, and removal of heavy machinery for industrial applications
Experience in Health and Safety
Project Management experience
An understanding of equipment technical specifications and application to processing systems
A good knowledge of PLC’s Fault finding & Programming in Allen Bradley
Experience with Control Panel design and Machine wiring
Commissioning experience of process systems
Previous experience with food processing equipment and systems
Minimum requirements
Completion of Trade Qualifications
Millwright
Certificate or Associate Diploma in Engineering
Commissioning of machines
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
