About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Investment Portfolio Manager to join our privately owned investment environment, where commercial insight and strategic thinking are highly valued alongside technical excellence. As a key member of our team, you will partner closely with shareholders and senior executives to oversee the financial and operational performance of our diversified investment portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial and operational performance of a diversified investment portfolio
- Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual Board reporting packs
- Perform financial modelling, DCF valuations, ROI analysis, and scenario planning
- Monitor portfolio performance against strategic investment objectives
- Lead financial due diligence processes for acquisitions and investment opportunities
- Compile investment memoranda and strategic recommendations for shareholders and directors
- Analyse operational and sector-specific financial performance indicators
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, governance frameworks, and statutory reporting requirements
- Oversee treasury functions, tax compliance, and cash flow forecasting
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks across the portfolio
- Travel to operational sites, developments, and investment assets when required
Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification with active SAICA registration (essential)
- Minimum 8 years post-articles experience
- Exposure to investment houses, family offices, private equity structures, or diversified investment portfolios
- Strong experience in financial reporting, consolidations, and Board-level reporting
- Advanced financial modelling and investment analysis skills
- Exposure to property, hospitality, development, automotive, or diversified investment sectors (required)
- Strong understanding of IFRS, South African tax legislation, and corporate governance principles
