About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Stock Controller to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock levels, coordinating ordering, and ensuring accurate inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain quotes from suppliers from approved supplier list.
- Raise purchase orders for stock replenishment and buy out of stock.
- Complete customer application forms received from new suppliers.
- Request company vendor application forms to be completed by new suppliers.
- Inform project managers when stock is ready for collection.
- Receive GRNs for returned stock.
- Liaise with technical support to assess if stock is faulty or needing repair.
- Liaise with administration clerks on actioning a return to supplier.
- Count in and sign for stock received from suppliers or internal transfers.
- Manage stock levels and co-ordinate ordering of replenishment stock.
- Use appropriate tools to conduct work and ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness thereof.
- Adhere to specific standards, policies, practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Matric.
- Relevant experience in stock control or inventory.
- Experience with stock control systems would be advantageous.
- Customer service experience.
