About the Role
The Johannesburg Transport Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transport fleet, ensuring efficient routes, safe driving practices, and effective communication with drivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and dispatch all trucks daily, with schedules prepared in advance.
- Communicate dispatch changes promptly to drivers.
- Optimise routes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Provide leadership and guidance to drivers.
- Maintain constant communication and address challenges proactively.
- Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Track vehicles using tracking systems and monitor cameras.
- Report incidents or accidents promptly.
- Oversee truck and trailer maintenance and tyre management.
- Manage mechanical issues and maintenance schedules.
Requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
