As the Financial Manager, you’ll take ownership of reporting, compliance, internal controls, and team leadership within a high-performance local finance department. You’ll work closely with executive leadership and the broader global group, ensuring that financial governance, insight, and accuracy drive confident decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full financial reporting (local and international) in line with group requirements
• Manage and mentor the local finance team, ensuring high-quality execution
• Prepare audit packs and manage the full year-end process in accordance with IFRS
• Oversee tax, statutory reporting, and company secretarial responsibilities
• Drive internal audit processes, ensuring full compliance with J-SOX
• Manage credit control, capital expenditure, and asset registers
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and commentary
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and maintain strong internal controls
• Collaborate with customers, distributors, and senior leadership as needed
• Play an active role within the executive management team

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• CA(SA) with 3-5 years commercial experience
• Proven experience managing a finance department (manufacturing preferred)
• Strong ERP and advanced Microsoft skills
• Internal audit experience (J-SOX exposure highly advantageous)
• Strong costing and manufacturing industry experience
• In-depth IFRS knowledge
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong communication, analytical ability, and professional presence

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Manager with the full finance function, including management accounts, budgets, and forecasting.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and assist with financial reporting and analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, costing, and inventory control within the manufacturing environment.
• Liaise with auditors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Assist with process improvements and implementation of internal controls.

Requirements:

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
• Articles completed
• CA(SA) preferred
• 2–4 years’ experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills (e.g. Sage, Syspro, or Pastel).
• A hands-on approach, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn and grow into a managerial role.
