We’re seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to support a fast-paced engineering plastics environment, handling mould changes, machine setups, troubleshooting, and process optimisation across various polymer types. You’ll ensure quality output, stable production runs, and efficient cycle times while maintaining high safety and workmanship standards within a modern moulding facility.

Education & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12 (required)
• Certificate or training in Injection Moulding or Polymer Processing (advantageous)
• 3–5 years proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter in an engineering or precision-plastics environment
• Experience with machines ranging from small to large tonnage (approx. 50–360 ton)

Key Duties

• Perform safe and efficient mould changes and machine setups
• Configure and optimise machine parameters for quality and cycle time improvement
• Troubleshoot moulding defects (short shots, flash, warpage, burns, etc.)
• Conduct first-off inspections and ensure quality standards are met
• Monitor running production and maintain process stability
• Handle various engineering polymers and material changeovers
• Work with tooling, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues
• Complete all relevant production, setup, and quality documentation
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to all safety procedures
