Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities:
As their IT Manager, you will oversee the management, development, and evolution of their bespoke software systems, ensuring they align with strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to the business. You will lead a talented team of 8 professionals, including Tech Support, Analysts, Business Analysts, Integration Specialists, and Developers, to drive innovation and operational excellence. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by managing their current systems and leading the transition to future technologies.
Your role will involve the following:
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of their systems, ensuring they meet business needs and industry standards.
- Drive the transition and modernization of legacy systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and user experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define and deliver technology solutions that support strategic objectives.
- Ensure the robust integration of systems using REST APIs and other technologies.
- Maintain a strong focus on data management, leveraging your expertise in SQL to optimize database performance and integrity.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance their technology stack.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (PMP, ITIL, TOGAF would be advantageous).
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, REST API, and advanced SQL skills. Experience with VB.NET is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior leadership role within software development, ideally in the financial services or insurance industry.
- A strong track record of delivering complex transformation projects, such as ERP migrations or implementations (preferably with D365).
- Demonstrable experience in software application management, particularly in overseeing major system transitions within financial services or insurance.
- The ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and drive innovation.
