Johannesburg West: Mechanical Engineering Graduates Conveyor design posted by Network Finance

We are seeking enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Graduates to join our conveyor design team. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated graduates to gain hands-on experience in the design, analysis, and development of conveyor and material-handling systems used in mining, manufacturing, logistics, and industrial environments.
? Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of conveyor components, assemblies, and complete system layouts.
• Produce engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation using CAD tools.
• Support engineering calculations including load analysis, belt tension calculations, structural sizing, and drive selection.
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers across mechanical, electrical, and automation teams.
• Assist with site assessments, installation support, and troubleshooting activities when required.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, engineering principles, and project specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cost optimization, and design innovation.

? Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, machine elements, and material-handling concepts.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar) during coursework or internships.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and work in both office and industrial environments.
